HIMUNC Ix

As a senior at Henrico, Srihith Akkala is excited to serve as HIMUNC IX secretary general. Srihith has been involved in Model UN since his freshman year, attending conferences like GODMUN and DRMUN. He started as a volunteer at HIMUNC VI and later chaired a committee at HIMUNC VII. And was in the secretariat last year as the Director of charitable giving. Srihith joined the secretariat to make a positive impact and ensure HIMUNC IX is the best conference yet. Throughout his MUN journey, Srihith has gained valuable skills in time management and critical thinking, which have helped him succeed in both his academic and extracurricular pursuits. Outside of Model UN, Srihith is an active member of the National Honor Society and TSA. He is also passionate about sports, playing both volleyball and soccer for his school. In his free time, he’s working on launching a small business and starting a local chapter of a mental health nonprofit. Srihith is looking forward to meeting new delegates and seeing the innovative ideas they bring to HIMUNC IX. His favorite memory from HIMUNC was when a delegate made a surprise charitable donation in his name, inspiring him to continue making a difference.

In her senior year at Henrico High School, Vee has been a part of the Model UN community for 4 years now. Last year, she also had a position in HIMUNC's secretariat as Director of External Communications and Registrations. She has plenty of experience in the field of MUN, attending conferences such as DRMUN, GSMUN, VAMUN, RAMUNC, etc. She joined the secretariat with the idea to make the conferences of HIMUNC be an enjoyable, exhilarating, and an educational experience. Outside of MUN, Vee is a part of multiple extracurriculars. She dances a type of traditional Indian art form, Bharathantyam, and is having her recital this summer after 13 years of dedication. She is also involved in many sports, such as volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, etc. She also tutors children around the ages of 10 to 14, teaching them the basics of French. She also trains kids ice hockey and figure skating. She is involved in international internships, from places such as Germany, Australia, London, and India. Vee is incredibly excited for HIMUNC IX, she cannot wait to meet the delegates, and see the conference run beautifully. Her favorite memory of HIMUNC was working with the secretariat last year, who taught her valuable lessons she would never forget.

As a senior at Henrico High School, Davin Bernstein is thrilled to serve on the HIMUNC IX Secretariat. Davin has been involved in Model UN for three years, attending conferences such as GODMUN and FREEMUN. He began his journey as a vice chair in his first year and went on to chair his second year. Davin joined the Secretariat to contribute innovative ideas and creativity, with the goal of helping make HIMUNC IX the best conference yet. Throughout his MUN experience, Davin has developed valuable skills in time management, creativity, and observation, which have strengthened his academic and leadership abilities. Outside of Model UN, he is focused on advancing his club, Henrico Money Makers, by building new partnerships and expanding opportunities for student collaboration. Beyond school activities, Davin enjoys playing soccer and volleyball. In his free time, he often spends time networking through coffee chats with professionals in his intended career field and preparing for his upcoming internship at Capital One this summer. Davin’s favorite Model UN memory comes from GODMUN, where intense debate and a series of chaotic resolutions led to unexpected teamwork among delegates. What started as heated disputes turned into moments of collaboration and creativity that brought the entire committee together. He is eager to welcome new delegates this year and looks forward to seeing the energy and ideas they will bring to HIMUNC IX.
