HIMUNC IX

Gauri Tyagi is a junior at Henrico High School and is in the IB program. Gauri has been involved in Model UN for 6 years. Outside of Model UN, Gauri participates and holds a variety of leadership roles in, Mock Trial, Red Cross, student council, and TSA just to name a few. Gauri loves the Model UN community for what it is and looks forward to meeting all delegates!

Fun Fact: Gauri knows every word to “Hamilton” the musical.

Jack is a Senior at Henrico High School and is in the Center for the Arts program. Jack has been involved in Model UN since middle school winning a variety of awards. Outside of Model UN, Jack is heavily involved in numerous clubs, including National Honor Society, Student Council, Debate, Drama, Equity Ambassadors, etc. Jack is also very involved in political activism and holds numerous political and government leadership roles. Jack looks forward to an amazing conference and meeting all of the delegates!

Fun Fact: Jack has never chewed gum.

Meet Chirag Tyagi, Under Secretary General of Specialized Agencies and General Assemblies of HIMUNC. Chirag is a junior at Henrico and part of the IB Program. Chirag has been doing Model UN for 5 years, with experience in competing and crisis staffing. Outside of Model UN, Chirag is Co-President of Henrico’s Robotics Team, a First-Class Boy Scout, and a reporter for Henrico TSA (Technology Student Association). Chirag is looking forward to a successful HIMUNC and insightful debate in General Assembly and Specialized Agency. Fun Fact: Chirag supports sports teams like Real Madrid, Manchester United, San Antonio Spurs, and the Baltimore Ravens. (He’s not a bandwagon, he’s been through trophyless and tanking seasons.)

Meet Aarav Sao, Under Secretary General of Crisis Simulations and Specialized Agencies of HIMUNC. Aarav is a junior at Henrico and part of the IB Program. Aarav has been doing Model UN for 4 years, with experience in competing, chairing, and crisis staffing. Outside of Model UN, Aarav is part of Henrico’s volleyball and soccer teams and TSA. Aarav is looking forward to a successful HIMUC and meaningful debate in the Crisis Simulations and Specialized Agencies.

Fun fact: Aarav is a big Sixers fan (not a bandwagon, been one since the tankadelphia era😔)

Shamylah Adkins is a Senior at Henrico High School and is in the Center for the Arts program. Shamylah has been involved in Model UN for 3 years, and has served as a volunteer, committee chair. and now on the Secretariat. Outside of Model UN, Shamylah is on the track team, tennis and dance team. Shamylah want to bring nothing but success to HIMUNC and watch other’s succeeding!

Fun Fact: Shamylah loves Chipotle!

Meet Addison Meyer, Director of Charitable Givings. Addison is a junior at Henrico and in Musical Theatre III within the Center for the Arts program. This is her first year in Model UN, and she is excited to see what the future holds. Outside of Model UN, Addison is a part of Henrico’s Varsity Volleyball team, DECA, and drama club. Addison cannot wait to immerse herself in the Model UN experience and gain insight into the club's offerings.

Fun Fact: Addison has been to 11 different countries.

Adrianna Taylor is a senior at Henrico High School and serves as the Director of Logistics for HIMUNC IX. This is her first year in Model UN but she loves how it challenges different viewpoints with the creative outlet of writing. Outside of MUN, Adrianna is an IB Career Program student and participates in multiple dual enrollment classes. She enjoys sewing, reading, and trying new recipes in her free time.
